Frequently asked questions

We’ve included some helpful FAQs below that go beyond the basics. If you still have questions, we’d love to help. Simply get in touch with us via our contact form, call us or send us an email.

Can I change providers if I’m already receiving support elsewhere?

Yes, you absolutely can. Many people feel unsure about switching providers, but it’s your NDIS plan — which means you have choice and control over who supports you. If you feel like your current provider isn’t the right fit, you don’t need to wait for a reason to change.

Contact Gentle Touch and we can walk you through the process, including how to notify your current provider and transition smoothly. There’s no need to feel stuck or uncomfortable with support that doesn’t work for you. We’ll help you manage the change at your pace, making sure your services continue with minimal disruption.

You deserve support that feels right and helps you live the way you want — and we’re here to help you feel confident in making that decision.

Absolutely. Starting with the NDIS can feel overwhelming, especially with all the paperwork, new terms, and funding categories. When you contact Gentle Touch, we take the time to explain things clearly. We’ll help you understand how to get started, what kinds of supports might suit your goals, and how to apply if you haven’t yet.

If you already have a plan, we’ll look at it together and talk about how your funding could work in real life. You don’t need to know all the answers — that’s what we’re here for. We’re happy to walk you through it all step by step, and point you in the right direction if we can’t assist directly.

Our goal is to make sure you feel comfortable and informed, right from the beginning.

Yes, we do. Our team includes Registered Nurses and experienced disability support workers who are trained in providing high-intensity and complex care. This includes support for participants with mobility issues, health conditions requiring PEG feeding, wound care, catheter care, seizure support, and more.

We understand that complex needs require not just clinical skill but a gentle, respectful approach — which is exactly what we provide. We work closely with you (and your healthcare professionals if needed) to create a plan that suits your routine, preferences, and medical needs.

If you’re looking for reliable support that balances medical knowledge with everyday kindness, contact Gentle Touch — we’re here to help.

We provide NDIS services across various parts of Victoria. While we’re always expanding our reach, our current focus includes both metropolitan and selected regional areas.

If you’re unsure whether we can support you where you live, the easiest way to find out is to contact Gentle Touch directly. We’ll be honest about our availability, and if we’re not in your area yet, we may be able to recommend someone who is.

Our goal is to build local relationships and ensure that wherever we work, we’re delivering consistent and high-quality care. So even if you’re not sure, it’s always worth getting in touch.

We don’t aim to be the biggest — just the most consistent, caring, and genuine in how we support people. Gentle Touch Support Services was founded by two Registered Nurses who saw how much better support could be when it’s delivered with care, patience, and attention to the small things.

Our team is focused on people, not paperwork. We offer clear communication, flexibility, and support that’s shaped around each individual — not just their plan. You won’t be bounced between departments or treated like a number.

When you contact Gentle Touch, you’ll speak with someone who listens and cares.
